A FIRST MOVE

A First Move was written and directed by Danielle Ureta-Spontak, and has been shortlisted in the 48 Hour London Sci-Fi Challenge for 2024. In less than an hour, the script was written and the cast began to rehearse. Then the entire film was shot in approximately eight hours. The team was given a title, a prop, two lines of dialogue, and an optional theme - all of which were included in the finished short.

A First Move is about a beloved superstar actor, Fletcher Brie, who orders a clone to perform his stunts for his next Blockbuster hit. But when the clone arrives, he looks nothing like Fletcher. Annoyed, Fletcher must decide what to do with his clone mishap.
